True or False?: The parish is the first place for education in prayer.

It begins with the family. Every night as a kid, my parents would always have me do an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be. We would say grace at the table before any meal. During Lent, we even had prayer cards for dinner meals that included a Gospel reading. Additionally, being at a Catholic school, we prayed every morning and every afternoon; we had on campus prayer services.

The fact is: the family, and in my case and I'm sure others, the Catholic school, are the first places where we "learn" how to pray, what to pray for, and importance of daily prayer in the individual's life.

    Just my two cents...

It's the family, not the parish.
