How about enforcing the laws re: right of way in rotaries. This is one of the worst ones I know for people totally ignoring the right of way and signaling rules. It's almost like people feel entitled to blow through it and that little switch on the steering wheel is just some kind of decoration, I guess.

I drive trough 4 rotaries a day going to each way to work. Hingham hands down is the best as far as safety. The on in south boston sends chills up my spine. Muzzi Corner half mile down the road, has been the scene of several Fatalities in the last several years. What are those Hingham wack jobs going propose next taking all the curves out of the roads.

Unfortunately Mass drivers have no idea how to handle a rotary. Yield means yield, NOT STOP. Rotaries' sole purpose is to keep traffic moving. When someone stops instead of merging that's when the "low speed rear end accidents" happen. The same things happens when these people stop at the end of an on-ramp. If drivers knew how to merge this project would be totally un-necessary!!

Hi I think it a good idea to get rid of the rotary. Everytime i go that way people stop like it a stop light. It's a merg with caution.

As the new rotary at the Greenbush intersection in Scituate has illustrated, rotaries properly designed are much more effective than traffic lights at controlling congested areas.
As a daily commuter to the Hingham ferry, I can't imagine having a traffic light at that intersection. Maybe the Commuter Rail will alleviate the traffic ...oh right, they already tried that!
