Do you think SouthField will ever get built?

I totally agree with all of you however I work in the area and the new intersections have actually reduced traffic tie ups. It also much safer making turns off Route 18 now with turn arrows in both directions.
We do so very much need a regional industrial/business center with a small airport for cargo and commuter planes. We needs this much more than we need luxury housing that will never sell or rent and more stores that no will shop in because they don't have the money.

keep the runway for small planes and build a corporate center, we need jobs on the south shore!

I'm glad it's delayed. Route 18 can't hold the traffic now. The JOKE was the money the state spent on the 4 intersections. You people in the Tri-town area should have realized the impact. Not just this issue with Weymouth, what about the Foreriver bridge??? Way past the 10 year time line. Thank you Weymouth, you have traffic tied up in both North and South of your "CITY".
Your still know as the dirty little town.

I agree, too much time and money has been lost at this point. This project has been nothing but a gravy train for those involved. The Navy should have held the Tri-Town Council to a deadline and reclaimed the land to sell to the highest bidder. The towns-people are the ones that should reap the benefits of development of the field but they never will. How they allowed Madden to get involved again is beyond me, he was one of the major stumpling blocks to sound and effective development of this land. Look at what he did for the Town of Weymouth -- exactly -- nothing. This isn't brain surgery. 'Get her done.'

They'd have been better off making this a small regional air field. This is a joke. In this economy Southfield will be nothing but abandoned Navy buildings and weeds. This should have been developed years ago.
