Do you support Gov. Deval Patrick's plan to raise gas taxes by up to 27 cents a gallon?

Apparently, "working for change" doesn't actually work for a living. It's easy to support raising taxes when you're the one with the hand out.

Increase the tax. It is long overdue. If you want to pay less tax, use less gas. Everyone conserves a little and lower demand will help keep prices lower. But it will still raise money needed to get the debt monkey off our backs and to make resources available for better service and needed infrastructure. The tax is not being proposed in a vacuum, but will accompany reforms that are needed in the transportation agencies to get rid of waste and inefficiency..if the legislature doesn't screw it up.

why doesn't the governor reduce the number of state employees just like private industry does in bad times? less government = less spending, it's time for the people to say enough is enough, especially now with the most foolish stimulus package coming out of wash d.c.

Put a cap on it to protect consumers from price hikes. For every cent over the cap that gas prices rise, reduce the tax by a cent.
